Man spotted throwing gun into River Adur

Members of the public spotted a man throw a gun in a river.

Police have just released information about the incident which occured at around 1.40m on February 27.

Sussex Police were contacted by a member of the public at 2.10pm that day, who had seen two men throwing a suspected firearm into Lady Bee Marina, Southwick.

Police divers recovered an old Flint Lock Pistol and enquiries are continuing into why it was thrown into the marina.

Sussex Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who knows the owner of the pistol.

Yep, the marina is east of the locks in the harbour area . . . . and the locks are almost half a mile east from the Adur estuary!

I bet the Argus will release an e-fit and description as well next week, what's the odds he was white, about 5'6 - 5'9, wearing blue jeans and a grey hoodie and aged about 320 years old??? And he parked his horse near the bridge.
