A van was gutted in a fire today.

The van was parked in Graham Avenue, off Carden Avenue, Brighton, when it caught alight shortly before 2am.

An East Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said it was “well alight”.

He added: “Fire damage had spread to the property”.

Three breathing apparatus and a hose reel were used to put out the fire, the cause of which remains unknown.
