Crawly man dies after car crash

A 69-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a tree.

Ronald Williams, of Marshall Road, Maidenbower, Crawley, suffered serious injuries after his car collided into a tree in Gatwick Road, Crawley at the junction with Oakwood Trade Park at 6pm on Tuesday March 12.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton but died in hospital on Sunday.

His passenger, a 68-year old Crawley woman, was treated for slight injuries at the East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, but was later discharged.
