Six-a-side showdown for Rockinghorse
7:10pm Wednesday 20th March 2013 in News
A children's charity is looking for teams to sign up to a football fundraiser.
The event, in aid of Brighton-based Rockinghorse, has been set up by Pitch Invasion, which organises league competitions around the country.
All proceeds from the six-a-side football tournament will go towards the charity’s work supporting Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton and the Trevor Mann baby unit at the neighbouring Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Teams of up to nine people of all standards are invited to enter and play group and knock-out stages.
Matches will be played at Shoreham Academy on April 15, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 minutes of football per team.
FA-qualified referees will be on hand to officiate all the games, and trophies will be presented to the winning team and runners-up.
Kick-off is at 7pm and entry costs £60 per team, with £50 donated to Rockinghorse.
To register your team, call 01273 377268 or email cparsons@pitch-invasion.com.
