I WOULD accommodate the buffoonery of Godfrey Bloom MEP if only the maintenance bills weren’t so high.
His deliberate misunderstanding of the term global warming doesn’t unfortunately get funnier every time he makes it (Letters, March 26).
According to the Daily Telegraph, Bloom has the worst attendance record of all the United Kingdom’s MEPs.
In a recent television interview, Bloom explained to Andrew Neil that he preferred drinking cocktails in the bar to attending the European Parliament to vote on behalf of his constituents. This hasn’t stopped him from costing the taxpayer £151,609 a year for services rendered.
This region needs politicians who will work on behalf of the voters not would-be comedians touting dated material.
