A new service which could slash the cost of conflicts has been launched in Swindon.
ThirdSide is a new mediation service which aims to help companies, organisations and individuals resolve their disputes quickly and at a fraction of the cost of going to court or to a tribunal.
Bill Barnett, the company’s founder said: “Millions of pounds are lost through disputes every year, both in terms of legal and court costs and lost productivity.
“A protracted dispute can also do untold damage to morale in an organisation and have a serious impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals. It can ruin relationships and lead to destructive conflict which becomes harder to resolve the longer it goes on.
“I have launched ThirdSide because I believe many disputes could be settled far more quickly and at a fraction of the cost than is often the case.
“Eighty per cent of mediation cases achieve resolution and 90 per cent of those are resolved within a day. This compares to the weeks, months, even years some disputes drag on for making it not only an effective alternative but a cost effective one too.”
Bill, 45, of Windrush, Highworth, is a professionally trained and accredited civil and commercial mediator and Chartered Manager with 25 years experience of problem solving.
He is a member of the Professional Mediators’ Association (PMA) and of the Civil Mediation Council (CMC).
