A helicopter landed on the beach as a man feel through a roof in Brighton this morning.

Paramedics were called to Middle Street, Brighton, to reports a man had fallen.

Paramedics, the air ambulance, firefighters and police rushed to the scene at about 10.30am.

The A259 had to be closed in both directions between Black Lion Street and West Street so the air ambulance could make an emergency landing on Brighton beach.

A man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital, London, with ‘potentially serious’ head injuries.

An air ambulance, land ambulance and the harzoudous area response team (HART) were sent by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
