Green-fingered enthusiasts have brightened up the summer for a group of residents – after handing out tubs of flowers.
Members of the Patcham Horticultural Society donate the pots each year to the residents of Aldrington Place sheltered housing.
The tradition started five years ago after the residents had their flower pots stolen.
Councillor Dawn Barnett, for Hangleton and Knoll ward, said: “They look absolutely beautiful. The colours are just wonderful.
“They do it every year now. Little things like that make a huge difference.”
Each spring society members collect last year’s tubs from the Bellingham Crescent facility and take them back full of flowers just weeks later.
Councillor Barnett added: “It’s a lovely thing to do. They really brighten up the place.”
