Giant bins for 32,000 Brighton and Hove homes approved

Giant communal bins for more than 30,000 homes are set to be introduced.
Brighton and Hove City Council’s environment committee last night agreed to the proposal to extend communal recycling bins to 32,000 more homes in the city.
The £800,000 new scheme will be funded by the Government will see the loss of almost 300 car parking spaces and follows a trial in 3,000 homes saw recycling rates increase by 70%.
The new bins are set to be introduced from October.
