A comedian has travelled to Iraq to report on the hidden crisis facing Syrian refugees in the country.
UNICEF UK ambassador Eddie Izzard has visited some of the 45,000 refugees at the Domiz camp in the north of Iraq, which is at three times its capacity.
The Bexhill-born comedian said the plight of refugee children in Iraq has so far been a “hidden and unreported crisis” that “desperately needs attention”.
The 51-year-old warned that resources were at “breaking point” and urged residents to donate by visiting unicef.org.uk.
