Garden to show off eco shed in Moulsecoomb
9:36am Thursday 11th July 2013 in News
A community garden will show off its new eco shed at an open day on Friday.
The open day, at the Moulsecoomb Forest Garden Project, will include tours of the garden every hour, tips from a compost doctor and a chance to make your own pizzas in its outdoor clay oven.
Volunteers at the project were left devastated when their building burned down in November 2011.
The rebuild has taken place with no power, meaning that all the excavation and landscaping has been done by hand.
The rebuild has also given the project a chance to offer work experience and training to a large number of school pupils and volunteers.
The open day is to be held at the site, off Queensdown School Road, on Friday, from noon to 7pm.
Schools are invited to get in touch and arrange a tour.
