A training centre which has helped hundreds of people back to work has celebrated the achievements of its students.
Adult learners were commended at community education centre Whitehawk Inn for their hard work with awards.

It also helps people back to work with careers advice, employment support and tailored support.
Centre administrator Sasha Coe said: “Watching students improve their confidence is just brilliant.

“Many people who have struggled to find work through lack of skills have managed to get employment through our help.
“It’s not just about learning, it’s about meeting like-minded people, being active and involved, getting out of the house, building selfesteem.
“Some have really found their niche.”
The Whitehawk Inn opened its doors as an IT training centre in 1999, but now offers a broad range of tailored training for the longterm unemployed.
Since 1999 more than 7,000 people have used its services.

Of these 70% live in deprived areas and 92% suffer social exclusion, poverty, low educational attainment and skill levels, poor work prospects, poor health and family breakdown.
In recent years it has helped hundreds of people back to work.
