Hove Park student shaves her head for charity
A 16-year-old Hove Park student took a leaf out of Jessie J’s book and shaved off her locks for charity.
Jasmine Jensen was inspired to turn her change of image into a fundraiser and chose Macmillan Cancer Research as the recipient, for which she has raised £480 of her £500 target.
She said: “It would mean so much to me if you were to donate even the smallest amount, it all helps.
“I decided I wanted to shave my head for McMillan Cancer Research as every year they do an amazing amount of work for those suffering from cancer, and although I may not be able to make a massive impact, every little helps.”
When asked if she liked her new look, Jasmine said: “It’s nice when there’s a breeze, and also showering is amazing as it takes about two seconds.
“At first I didn’t like it much but I do now. When I first saw myself in the mirror I almost started crying.”
