Growing concern for missing teenage girl in Crawley
5:58pm Friday 12th July 2013 in News
Fears are growing over the safety of a teenage girl last seen a week ago.
Jade Cooper, 14, from Crawley, was last leaving her home address just after 2pm on Friday last week.
Although she has made regular contact, she is described as “very vulnerable” due to her age.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: “Jade regularly goes missing but the fact remains that she is only 14 years of age and it is therefore imperative that we ensure she's safe and well.
"It is believed that Jade could currently be in the Brighton area and extensive enquiries are being carried out there by local officers to try and find her.
“However, she's also known to have links with Horsham so we would urge local people there to contact us if they think they have seen her."
Jade is described as white, of slim build, with shoulder length straight brown hair and green eyes.
It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
Anyone with information about Jade's whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 quoting serial 1837 of 5 July.
