Uckfield ballet starlet needs £10,000 to realise Billy Elliott dream
2:30pm Monday 15th July 2013 in News
A top dancer needs £10,000 to join a ballet school and become the new Billy Elliott.
Charlie Levett, 11, of Framfield Road, Uckfield has been offered a scholarship at the world-renowned Elmhust School for Dance Birmingham.
The school offers fewer than 20 places a year to gifted young dancers and Charlie hopes to start in September 2013.
Despite being offered a scholarship, Charlie’s family have still got to find over £10,000 a year to enable him to fulfil his dream and take up the place.
Charlie, who is currently at St Philip’s Primary Catholic School in Uckfield, started dancing when he was four and currently dances at the Rennie Dance Academy in Newick.
He has already performed at the Royal Opera House, Convent Garden.
