A teenager suffered serious leg injuries in a hit and run collision.
The 17-year-old was standing at the junction of the High Street and Gloucester Road, Bognor, when a maroon BMW saloon left the road and collided with him.
The car driver then left the scene.
The teenager, from Shoreham, was taken to Southampton General Hospital following the incident yesterday evening.
Two men have been arrested for causing serious injury by dangerous driving and are currently in police custody.
Sussex Police are appealing for the witnesses to the collision, which happened at around 8.25pm.
They also want to trace the rider of a yellow sports motorbike seen in the area at the time.
The road was closed for two hours while investigations continued.
