‘Missing link’ beer trays from across Sussex wanted by collector
12:40pm Wednesday 24th July 2013 in News
Britain's biggest collector of beer trays is looking for help to fill a gap in his prize-winning archive.
Richard Percival has a collection of 1,400 beer trays – with many dating back to before the Second World War – stored in a mini-museum at his home but only has one from Brighton breweries.
The Leicestershire-based collector is looking for beer trays from The Kemp Town Brewery, Tamplin and Sons, Rock Brewery, Chapman and Co Black Lion and Kidd and Hotblack Ltd Cannon to add to his collection.
Mr Percival said his collection started in Hove when as an away supporter of Notts County FC visiting the old Goldstone Ground he was given a Young’s Brewery tray.
If you can help Mr Percival contact 01664 464883, 07715369540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
