7:00pm Sunday 28th July 2013 in News
Teenagers are being called on to volunteer their services for a summer programme.
The Brighton Volunteer Centre is looking for 16 and 17- year-olds to take part in the
scheme with the national citizen service.
The programme runs from August 5 to August 23 and gives teenagers the chance to develop new skills, meet new people and do something for their community.
There are taster days to meet team mates and residen- tial and skill building sessions.
The final part of the scheme involves planning and organis- ing a project with charities and community groups that will last about 28 days.
Volunteers will then get a graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements and receive a certificate signed by David Cameron.
