Family fun day in Littlehampton helps Jamie's Wish Trust funds
12:20pm Tuesday 30th July 2013 in News
An annual family fun day has raised more than £3,000.
All proceeds from the event, which took place on July 20, will go towards Jamie’s Wish Trust – a charity based in Littlehampton which grants wishes to children and young people up to the age of 25 who have life-threatening illnesses.
Founded in 2007, Jamie’s Wish Trust also offers financial support to families by providing grants to help ease the financial stress of funding essential care and treatment.
Organisers said they would like to thank the supporters, volunteers and everyone who joined in. A silent auction held on the day also raised more than £200 for the charity.
The auction’s top prize was a Shangri-La chair and matching foot stool worth £719, which was donated by Furniture Village in Brighton.
Dan Krawiec, general manager for the store, said: “We are very pleased to be contributing to the charity auction for the Family Fun Day event.
“Jamie’s story is very touching and it is rare to find a charity that offers to both fulfil lifelong wishes, and also to give financial aid.”
