Looks like the congestion in Bexhill area has now cleared. But still reports of queueing on the A27 between Arundel and Worthing. Highways Agency maintain it will be cleared by 6.45pm.

Why no mention of the huge queue eastbound going in to Worthing??? Almost back to the A280 turnoff to Long Furlong. Even BBC Radio Sussex were not featuring it.
Just had an email from Alan Babtridge from Upper Beeding, near Steyning.
"Was driving down the A23 southbound earlier and noticed a chap of about 30 playing golf at Patcham Place Recreation Ground.
"Thankfully he had a solid enough swing, but we’d have been in some serious bother if he started hooking the ball like the great Ian Woosnam.”

According to Brighton and Hove Bus Compnay the 12X service at 5.20pm is currently not running due to a breakdown.

Highways Agency reporting congestion and delays of up to ten minutes on A259 eastbound between A269 near Bexhill (west) and A269 near Bexhill (east).
Normal traffic conditions are expected from 6.10pm.
