REesidents in a historic seafront village are to have a greater say over the future of their area.
Locals in Rottingdean are looking to create a neighbourhood plan, claiming it will help preserve the character of the village for generations to come.
Rottingdean parish councillor Sue John said: “This is the most in-depth survey ever carried out in Rottingdean.
“We want to hear from as many people as possible about how Rottingdean should develop and prosper in the future and how to protect our fabulous heritage.
“The plan is intended to strengthen the influence of the local community on the planning process within the parish.”
An online consultation will be launched today at www.rottingdean-pc.gov.uk.
