Brushing up helps at Crew Club in Whitehawk with help from Rickshaw Travel

A travel agency swapped air miles for bathroom tiles as staff spent the afternoon renovating a clubhouse and changing rooms for charity.
Rickshaw Travel, an independent travel agency based in Western Road in Hove, teamed up with The Crew Club, Whitehawk, as part of its annual social event on Friday.
Staff spent the day repainting and doing general maintenance at the club before heading to The St George’s Inn in Kemp Town for a barbecue.
Alana McWade, 27, project coordinator at Rickshaw Travel, said: “It was really good and all the staff really enjoyed themselves.
“It’s so nice to be able to do something for the local community and I think everybody was really pleased because they were able to see the end product.
“It’s definitely something we’re looking to do again and maybe more often than just once a year.
“Hopefully it will act as a catalyst for us being a more responsible company and work more closely with the community.”
The Crew Club provides a wide range of services including youth work, foundation learning programmes and holiday provision for young people with special needs and disabilities.
