Charity Haydn’s Wish has been nominated as Sainsbury’s Newhaven’s charity of the year.

The charity, which promotes awareness and raises funds to support research of allergic diseases in children, was voted for by customers in store and online.

Founded in memory of nine-yearold Haydn Wileman, who died of allergic reaction, the charity promotes awareness and raises funds to support research of allergic diseases in children.

Emma Wileman, Haydn’s mum, said: “We know the success that the Local Charity partnership has brought to many charities in the local area so when we received the recent phone call to tell us the news, we were thrilled.

“The exposure and support is going to be massively beneficial to our charity and I’d like to thank every Sainsbury’s Newhaven customer who voted.

“We are delighted to have already had help from Sainsbury’s who managed to find us a Hippo outfit, which happens to be our logo, to help with fundraising.”

More information on the charity and childhood asthma and allergies can be found at the charities website haydns-wish.co.uk.
