St Leonards cat dropped from height and left for dead
8:37am Thursday 15th August 2013 in News
A pet owner’s beloved cat was dropped from a height and left for dead.
The cat’s owner found her pet lying semi-conscious in Albany Road, St Leonards, at around 9pm on July 18 with a broken jaw and a severely swollen face..
The owner was so upset by the pet's injuries, which the animal is still recovering from, that she did not report the incident until several weeks later.
Officers are now investigating the possibility that it might have been thrown from a height.
A police spokesman said: "The vet believes that the injuries were not caused by a vehicle or another animal but in a malicious attack.
"There was a party at an address in Albany Road on the night the cat was injured and one of the guests or one of the neighbours in the area may have seen what happened."
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 595 of August 5.
