Fraser Todd, 18, was delighted to achieve A* grades in maths, biology and chemistry and will now study to become a doctor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Fraser said: “I’m absolutely over the moon and I can’t quite believe it. I couldn’t have done this without the support of the school who have really helped me along the way so much.
“I can’t wait to start studying medicine but tonight I’m planning on having a night I can’t remember.”
Jessica Newton, 18, head girl at the Wingfield Road school, got an A* in art, B in textiles and C in English literature.
She plans to study textiles at the University of Manchester after she has taken a year out to travel around Peru.
She said: “I’m really delighted and I’m just so happy that I cried. I’m going out to Peru in January for three months and then I’m really looking forward to coming back to Manchester which was my first choice.”
Charliee Bourne, 18, got a B in art, a C in psychology and D in English. She is going to Plymouth University to do a degree in early childhood studies.
Charliee said: “I’m really glad about my results and it is pretty scary to think that’ll I’ll be moving out in a few weeks.”
