Man due to stand trial on suspicion of murdering mother Debbie Levey
A man has denied murdering a mother who was found dead in her home.
Driver Phillip Brown, 46, of Latham Road, Selsey, is accused of killing Debbie Levey, 44, whose body was found at her home in East Ashling, near Chichester, on January 28 this year.
He appeared in custody at Lewes Crown Court on Friday for a plea and case management hearing.
Brown has also been charged with the attempted rape of a 30-year old woman in West Sussex during March 2001, which he also denies.
The court remanded him in custody for trial on the murder charge, due to start at Lewes Crown Court on November 25. The court has not yet set a date for his trial on the attempted rape charge.
