Wanborough Youth U10s 1
South Cerney U10s 8
SOUTH CERNEY continued their fine run of form with a convincing win over Wanborough.
However, it was only several fine saves by Cerney's Theo Cooper that kept the score goalless in the early stages.
The introduction of Josh Allen soon changed things and two quick goals from him and Jamie Miles saw Cerney take control.
Allen added a third just before half-time after a tremendous through ball by Harry Ashcroft.
Goals from Miles Lonnergan, Allen, Miles and Cooper opened up a 7-1 lead in the second period.
Goal of the game came from Owen Humphrey, who picked up the ball on the halfway line and drove a shot into the top corner.
Alice Cappell had her normal assured game in defence along with Callum Mays. Joel Morris was unlucky not to find the net and Benjy Dodds was excellent on the right side of the midfield.
MoM: Benjy Dodds.
