Preben Krabben will face Joe Palmer for the men’s singles title on finals night at Oxford Sports & Social Club, Roman Way, Cowley, on Friday, November 15.

Krabben beat Goodlake Arms teammate Kevin Wilkins in the semi-final, after edging past Donnington’s Gary Crozier in the last eight.

Palmer also beat a clubmate to reach the final, defeating fellow Kidlington Green player Stuart White after knocking out Michael Kearns (Izi’s Bar).

The men’s pairs final will see Cowley Workers’ Lyndon Richards and Wayland Honour take on Aaran Stevens and Jon Jukes (Izi’s Bar).

Michelle Ewins (Florence Park) defends her ladies’ title against Donnington’s Rose Swanton.

The ladies’ pairs final brings together previous winners Megan Curtis and Ruth Stockwell, of Nuffield Bar, and first-time finalists Judith Cork and Jane Baxter, representing Catherine Wheel.

THERE are two vacancies in both the men’s and ladies’ sections of the winter league.

The men begin next Tuesday, with the ladies starting a day later.

A 24-HOUR darts marathon has raised more than £1,000 for charity.

The ladies’ team at the Red Lion, Cassington, donated the money to Cancer Research.

Tracy Gardiner, June Rouse, Simone Preffitt, Pauline Newman, Ali Bateman, Patricia Potter, Anita Ellis, Courtney Bateman and landlady Janice Faulkner took part.
