A lift which left a disabled man stuck indoors for a month has been fixed, the council said.
Wheelchair-bound Adrian Walker, 45, was made a prisoner in his own home after the lift in Wiltshire House, Lavender Street, Kemp Town, broke down.
He told The Argus on Friday: “I'm pretty irate about it. I have been stuck inside all this time and there are some people who can't go out at all.”
But engineers working for the council confirmed today the lift was back in action.
A spokeswoman for Brighton and Hove City Council said the lifts could be replaced in 2014/15 financial year.
