Police have released an E-fit of a man believed to be in his 40s who indecently exposed himself to a teenage girl.

Between 10pm and 11pm on Monday (18 November) the 17-year old was walking home along Clermont Road, Preston Park, Brighton, when she noticed the man following her.

He made no attempt to approach her but after a while he exposed himself.

The girl was on her mobile to a friend at the time and shouted that she was on the phone to the police, prompting the man to run away.

The man is described as white, in his forties or fifties, about 5'8", of medium build, and wearing a light grey hoodie with no zip, and a pair of darker trousers.

PC Joanna Omoyinmi said; "This was a very upsetting late night experience for the victim, who had the presence of mind to distract the man and clearly caused him to flee. If you recognise him, we would like to hear from you.
