Delays are clearing on A2290 Lottbridge Drove both ways between A22 Highfield Link and A259 Seaside (Seaside Roundabout) 


The A23 Brighton Road Horley is partially blocked partially both ways with queueing traffic after an accident around Massetts Road, just north of the Horley Roundabout.


The A272 is moving very slowly into Haywards Heath due to the accident in Cuckfield earlier this evening


Newhaven Swing Bridge is open to road traffic despite flood damage.
The tidal surge this morning resulted in water flooding the area beneath the bridge deck which houses the main gearing, electrical systems, drive system and jacks.
The bridge remains fully open to road traffic but is not able to be opened to allow shipping to pass through to the North Quay.
Crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have been pumping water from the affected area of the bridge this morning and East Sussex County Council’s structures team is on site assessing the damage.


Brighton & Hove Buses ‏is no longer accepting rail tickets between Brighton and Seaford.

Please be aware it will take a few hours to get services back to scheduled times due to an earlier accident in North Street.


Southern trains through Preston Park are now running normally after earlier delays of 15mins casued by a broken down train



A23 southbound between junctions with the A2300 and the A281 is still experiencing delays of 15mins due to an earlier accident


Traffic has returned to normal after an accident on the B2066 North Street/ Western Road at B2121 Dyke Road.



Bus replacement services are running between Lewes and Seaford following flooding. 

High tides have caused damage to the signalling equipment and the stability of the track at various points between Lewes and Seaford.
As a result of this, trains are unable to run with buses is calling at all stations.

Passengers can use Brighton & Hove buses on route 12.



The A27 is busy as usual, here's a summary:

*Shoreham is very slow

*Sompting bypass is slow but moving

*Broadwater is slow

*Arundel is busy but moving


Traffic is congested and partially blocked due to accident on B2066 North Street/Western Road at B2121 Dyke Road.

Traffic was already congested due to an earlier bomb-scare on Dyke Road.


Reports of very slow traffic on A272 South Road around Haywards Road


Traffic is slow-moving Southbound on the A23 at Hickstead with one lane closed due to an accident
