Scores of Brighton carol singers brave the rain
10:32am Tuesday 17th December 2013 in News
Scores of Brightonians braved the cold and rain to join a carol service in Queen's Park.
The Friends of Queen's Park's fourth annual carol service was their biggest yet, despite the chilly temperatures, and there were not enough song sheets to go round.
The Band of the Salvation Army performed, and followed the service with an appeal for unwanted toys and presents to be donated to less fortunate families and children this Christmas.
After the carols were finished, the crowd retired to the tennis pavilion for more singing, mulled wine provided by Harveys brewers and mince pies provided by the Co-op.
Christmas donations to the Salvation Army can be left with Martin at the post office in Isleworth Road.
