A robber forced his way into a Hasting man's home and stabbed him in the legs and chest in a terrifying attack
The attacker pushed his way into the home in Pelham Crescent, at about 6am yesterday, knocked the victim to the ground and threatened him.
He stabbed the victim in the legs and chest and cut him across the hand before stealing cash and leaving.
Detective Sergeant Ross Bartlett said: "This was a nasty attack on the victim, who was surprised by the man as he answered his door.
"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in Pelham Crescent early yesterday morning and could have seen or heard anything suspicious, including a man leaving a flat at about 6am."
