The Argus: Rush-hour queues after A27 crash Rush-hour queues after A27 crash

Rush-hour traffic piled up after a three car crash on a busy road.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A23 at Pyecombe, just north of Brighton, at about 7.10am this morning.

Officers said it blocked the northbound lane for a short while but the vehicles were cleared by 7.30am.

Witnesses said the tailbacks caused disruption to those trying to travel eastbound on the A23.

A police spokeswoman confirmed no one was injured in the incident.

So the incident was on the A23, not the A27 as per the headline?

Schmargus - Get. It. Right.

It wouldn't be The Argus if they actually got the right Headline...

"...those trying to travel eastbound on the A23".

Were they trying to drive across the width of the road then?

Cleared by 07:30?? When I came through there (very, very slooooowly) at 07:50 the outside lane still had a broken transit van and 2 cop cars in it, and the other 2 cars were partially blocking the slip road to the A273. BBC Sussex was saying that everything had cleared! I'd like to know where they got their information from!

Another error - Witnesses said the tailbacks caused disruption to those trying to travel eastbound on the A23. It was on the A27 that had E/B tailbacks.
