A 17th century barn which neighbours a famous author's garden is set to be converted into a home.
Developers have submitted plans to make changes to the 400-year-old Hillside Barn in The Green, Rottingdean.
The building, which was part of Westside Farm and looks onto Kipling's Gardens, is currently used as stables.
But The Graham Watts Partnership, which has submitted the proposal, claims it will create the finance to secure the future of the building, which forms a key part of the village's heritage.
A decision is set to be taken by January 27.
