Hamsters abandoned in Brighton need new homes

Six hamsters have been nursed back to health after being dumped outside
an animal hospital in a filthy and overcrowded cage.

The two females and four males were covered in bite marks and needed extra care and support from staff at the RSPCA centre in Patcham, Brighton.

The two females have been placed in temporary foster homes because
they are believed to be pregnant but the males are expected to be ready
for rehoming from Wednesday.

Cheryl Wood from the centre said: “They were found in the cage
outside the PDSA hospital in Brighton and were in a pretty poor
condition.

“However, they are now recovering well and we are looking for homes for them.

" They are charming little companions and they are friendly and can be handled.”

Would you like to help give these hamsters a new home?

The shelter can be contacted on 01273 554218.

Why did someone leave them outside in this cold and very rainy weather? They must have been terrified, poor things.

Another example of ignorant skum wanting rid of something that is no longer "exciting" for them, which was probably all of about 20 minutes. Perhaps unwanted Xmas prezzies? No pets for plebs! :D
