Road bosses are promising reduced congestion on the A27 following improvements to a roundabout.

The Highways Agency will begin improvement works to the layout of the Ford roundabout, near Arundel, today.

The work will be carried out over two weeks, weather permitting, and will involve overnight lane closures and temporary traffic lights.

The agency hopes the new lane markings will improve the flow around the roundabout along with the two lanes provided on the westbound entry onto the roundabout.

The work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday, and is expected to be completed in the morning of Saturday, January 18.
