The man from Haywards Heath was hit by a red Nissan Micra on the A273 Isaac’s Lane between Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath as it was heading north at 6pm yesterday (Wednesday January 8).
He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with life-threatening head and chest injuries and the driver of the Nissan, a 61-year-old from Burgess Hill, was treated for shock.
