Plant machinery worth £36,000 was stolen from a nursery.
Between 5am and 8.30am on Saturday, January 4, a selector grab attached to an excavator and the bucket attachment for the same machine, were stolen from a demolition site at Felbridge Nursery in Crawley Down Road, East Grinstead.
The selector grab and bucket each have the number '777' welded on to them and together are valued at around £36,000.
The thieves entered the site by cutting a padlock off the gate and an unknown twin wheelbase vehicle which left tyre marks in the mud was clearly used to remove the items.
Call Sussex Police on 101.
