A 39-year-old man has died after his BMW struck a tree.

The Lewes man was driving southbound along the A22 in Forest Row at midnight on Saturday, dying at the scene.

No other vehicle was involved.

The road was closed for several hours while the vehicle was removed and for investigations to take place.

Anyone who saw the collision or the vehicle is asked to call police on 101 quoting Operation Westdene or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk
