Council chiefs have pledged to look at introducing 20mph limits on seafront roads.

More than 120 people have signed a petition asking for the restrictions in King’s Esplanade, St Aubyns South and Medina Terrace in Hove.

The local authority said it would consider the request.

Ward councillor Christopher Hawtree, who presented the petition, said: “This is all about the seafront cycle lane.

“We cannot improve the cycle lane until we get the limits right.”

In other news, Greens still continue to ignore what the vast majority of constituents want in favour of faffing around with unenforceable speed limits instead of sorting out the crisis and chaos that is CityClean.

Total waste of money How many cars exceed 20mph now on these roads? Less than 5% at a guess.
However another 'Lark' for the hapless Hawtree to get his intellect around.
less than 16months to go now.
