Police are seeking this person after a Latino man was racially abused on a bus.

The incident, which took place on the number 700 bus on December 12, saw the man racially abused and threatened with assault.

The 40-year-old victim, from Shoreham, got on the service at around 11pm.

The suspect got on shortly after with two women at Churchill Square shopping centre stop in Brighton.

He racially abused the man before he got off at Shoreham footbridge.

The suspect continued on the bus before getting off at the High Street in Shoreham.

He is described as in his early 30s, 5' 8" or 5' 9" and slim with short mousey brown hair.

He was wearing a brown suit jacket and a round necked brown sweater showing a white t-shirt underneath.

PC Karen Goshawk said: "This was a particularly nasty incident in which this passenger abused several people before turning his attention to the victim.

"Many of the people who were on the bus will have seen the incident taking place and I am keen to speak to them about what they saw and heard.

"Please contact us with any information you might have. No matter how insignificant you might think it is, it could be important to the investigation."

She added: "Racist incidents of any size or nature will not be tolerated in Sussex and we will investigate each and every one fully."
