Generous schoolchildren are collecting their unwanted toys to raise cash for charity.
Pupils at West Hove Junior School in Portland Road, Hove, will be selling the toys at a playground sale on Friday for children’s research charity Sparks.
Dubbed the ‘1 in 30 Toy Challenge for Sparks’, students will raise money to help the one in 30 children who are born with a disability that prevents them from undertaking everyday activities.
Each class will aim to collect 30 toys they no longer need for the big sale.
Money raised will fund research and projects such as a running-bikes scheme at Chailey Heritage Clinical Services, near Lewes, for children with cerebral palsy.
