A webcam could be installed on a seafront so people can monitor the weather from afar.
Seaford Town Council is set to approve the idea at a meeting tomorrow.
Possible locations include the Martello Tower, the lifeguard base at the Martello or The Salts, which are owned by the town council.
The local authority said the idea came from a local businessman with the aim of showing people seafront conditions from the safety of their own homes.
The council said there would be “no financial implications” to the authority.
