Police are searching for these two bogus callers who stole from an elderly couple.

The pair targeted the couple’s home in Peartree Lane, Bexhill on January 16.

They pretended to be police officers and told the victims, who are both in their 90s, that they were doing security checks and asked where valuable items were kept.

They took away jewellery, money and other items of value to their car as they claimed they needed to take photographs of them. They never returned.

The male suspect is described as a white, 6' and was wearing a waterproof jacket with a fur lined hood which he had up throughout.

The female was about 5', and had bobbed brown hair and was wearing a grey coat with a belt and a backpack.

Detective Constable Paul Casey said; "If you saw this pair or have any other information that will help, please contact us on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1321 of 16/1.”
