More than three quarters of the people in Hertfordshire would choose a romantic gesture over an expensive gift this Valentine’s Day, research from British Heart Foundation (BHF) shops has revealed as they launch their annual Love Notes campaign.
In fact, locals are so keen on romantic gestures that 29 per cent think a love letter or 23 per cent breakfast in bed is the most romantic thing a partner could do for them.
BHF shops are giving people the chance to make a loved one’s Valentine’s Day by posting a heartfelt Love Note in their shop windows.
They will be on display from now until February 16.
The local BHS shop is in Coursers Road, London Colney. The messages can be displayed for a minimum donation of £1.
This year celebrities such as Mollie King, Caroline Flack, Cilla Black, Eliza Doolittle, Hilary Alexander, Lee Mears and Lorraine Kelly have already written Love Notes for BHF shops.
