Ambulance collision leads to oil spill and road closure in Haywards Heath

A road has been closed after reports of a collision involving a van and an ambulance.

Emergency services were called to Hazelgrove Road in Haywards Heath shortly after 9am this morning.

Oil has spilt onto the road as a result of the collision leading police to close the B2112 in both directions.

The fire service attended to help make the road safe and police are still at the scene.

There are no reports of any injuries.

"More to follow". They never do though, do they? I think the phrase means "I've copypasted the details from an early media statement. Hopefully someone else will bother to pad the story out a bit if we hear anything more: I'm off to the pub."
