A new Centre for Cities report out today reveals that while Brighton is benefiting from a net migration of people from London, this is reversed among the 22 to 30-year-old age group.

The report says this data backs up the perception that the capital is sucking up all our talent as twentysomethings relocate to where the jobs are.

It also says that the net inflow to Brighton and Crawley when older people are taken into account is countered by commuting patterns, which suggest many are likely to remain part of the capital's labour market.

But meanwhile, Brighton and Hove's private sector was one of the success stories of the UK, creating the seventh biggest boost to the jobs market with 6.400 new jobs - albeit offset by 500 job losses in the public sector.

Do you think the city's private sector can begin to reverse the talent migration amongst our twenty-somethings?

Or will the lure of the capital always prove too much?
