A haggis was piped in and tatties enjoyed at a Burns Night celebration that included country dancing to live music.

Members of the St. Andrew Society (London), Wimbledon & District Scot's Association celebrated Burns Night on Saturday, January 25, with the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties.

Former chief David Drummond performed the traditional address to the haggis, in front of the present chief, Nicky Moulsdale, after the haggis had been paraded in to the sound of bagpipes.

The evening also included the traditional Immortal Memory, a speech in praise of Robbie Burns, performed this year by Elizabeth Bennett as well as toasts in typical Scottish fashion.

The evening, that was held at the Mansel Road Centre in Mansel Road, Wimbledon, ended with the traditional singing of Auld Lang Syne.

The society meets on Tuesday evenings at the Holy Trinity Church in the Broadway, and welcomes new members.
