Pupils from Myrtle Park Primary swam their way to triumph at the Bingley Swimming Club Schools’ Gala Final.
A dozen primary schools had battled their way to the final and three secondary schools were competing at Shipley Pool yesterday.
Despite concern over the future of the club’s Bingley Pool home, and therefore the gala, the annual event was hailed a success. Myrtle Park also won the Primary School Mixed Relay Championship with Priestthorpe Primary coming in second just edging out Crossflatts Primary for the silver medal place.
